Have You Really Thought About The Consequences Of Disobedience?

Disobedience is either the failure or refusal to obey God for whatever reason. This is normally out of rebellion and distrust to God.

Disobedience provokes God’s Anger, forfeits His favor and blessings and brings a curse. Even though a person might return to God after disobedience, the damage often has already been done. We need to remember that obedience after disobedience does not change the consequences of the bad choices.

Have you thought of solution to disobedience? There is no short cut and obedience is the only solution! The disobedience of one man (Adam) brought separation from God, but the obedience of one man (Jesus) saved many (Romans 5:19). (Calvary Church)

Are You Complaining While Obeying?

When we obey God’s word, it is also very important to have the right attitude to go along with the act of obedience. How often we obey God’s word whole heartedly?

Philippians 2:14-15 reminds us that we should serve God without complaining. "Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world" This is great application for us. If we obey or serve God yet complain about it, then we might as well not serve at all.

Too often, we are so bad in the area of complaining, and we have no excuse. Make no mistake, murmuring is sin. So let us confess our complaining as sin, not arguing against God or becoming bitter against Him, but let us believe that where we are today is a place where God desires to work and to cause all things to result in our good. Rather than complain, let us thank God and offer our requests to Him in prayer. As Christians, we are called to be different, so that the world can see, up close and personal, a life transformed by God. If you want to be different, “do everything without complaining”—that’s different.

The Beauty Of A New Snow!

As I stepped outside to head to the church this morning, I noticed all the snow on the ground. There really isn’t anything like a new snow fall, which leaves the ground a fluffy pure white, free from any dirt or debris. Immediately, my mood shifted from one of coldness, to one of awe for what God can do with any situation. Our lives are like the ground before a snow fall; full of dirt and debris (sin). Jesus is there ready to cover our sin with His shed blood on the cross like a beautiful snow covers the ground. David reminds us of that in Psalm 51:7, “…wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.”

What a beautiful display of God’s glory. We may not all have grown up in Christian families, or even have a history that we are proud of. But regardless, God makes all things anew, clean and beautiful. He takes our past situation, and makes it work out for His glory.

Today, remember where you came from, but do so to remember how God has changed and improved your life. Remember the power that He holds power to take any situation and make it good. And when you see someone who needs God, think just that… and then share His love story with them.
